de le Botti" original popular game of medieval extration
that took place since 1400 on the parvis of the Celestiniana Abbey
(Church) of St.Mary of Mejulano in occasion of the Pentecost festivity.
In 1498 Donna Isabella Piccolomini D'Aragona Duchess of D'Aquaviva,
owner of Corropoli feud took part of the Pentecost festivity and
because she was beloved by the population, the representatives
of the old town district "Contrade" dedicated the "Palio"
to Donna Isabella Piccolomini D'Aragona.
