The
so-called Palio della Rana (Frog's Palio) takes place each year
on the first Sunday after the "Domenica in Albis" (Easter
Day) at Fermignano, situated in the middle of the Pesaro/Urbino
province. This game aims at recalling the founding of the Municipal
Council at Fermignano in 1607 by Francesco Maria II della Rovere,
the last Duke of Urbino.
