PESCIA

This is a bow game. It officially starts on Saturday, when members of the winning party of the previous year pass in procession along the streets at night and finally receive a standard reproducing a historical event of Pescia from the hands of the Podestà to take care of it.

On Sunday morning range trials take place and in the afternoon the Maestro di Campo (Field Master) starts the checking of bows and arrows together with the Judges and then gives the starting signal to the game. Each Rione (town district) has five arrows and four archers at its disposal.
